I think the shoe is broken. But I can't figure out which part I need to buy. Also the hook from the window came out and have problem removing it. Can u give me some guidance on removing the hook and the shoe parts required to get my window fixed?

Thank you for contacting us. Our Series 140 balance assembly looks like a comparable match. Take a look and see if the thickness and width match up with yours.

I don't see a hook in your photos, though, so I'm not sure what you may be referring to. Could you clarify that for me? Seeing a photo of the hook in question would be a huge help.

THank you. on the second picture. there is a hook that hangs out from shoe. I wasn't able to take out the hook(the hook appears to slide into the vinyle window)

Thanks for clarifying that for me! The hook you're referring to is called a pivot bar. I wonder if the pivot shoe cam is in the locked position, preventing the pivot bar from being removed. Have you tried twisting the pivot bar while it's in the cam? You want to twist it so that the cam looks like a "U". Let me know if this helps.

I'm afraid we don't have a video regarding the replacement for this specific balance but we do have one showing how to remove the hardware via the cutout method. I'll post that below.
