Custom-Window balance replacement

Question

The 26D series 770 matches except the top. Can the plastic piece at the top of the 770 series be easily removed? If yes, I can replace the plastic anchor with the hanging in from the old balance.

Hey there,

Thanks for writing in! Your S770-26 channel balance would need to be a custom made assembly since it has a rivet in the top hole and appears to use the 19-029 Short S-Clip. You would not be able to use the S-Clip with the plastic mounting screw way that comes on the standard Series 770 balances.
