Door handle and lock latch

Question

Hi! I have an old door handle and latch lock that needs to be replaced.
Below are pictures. It has two 3-inch centered holes and there is a hinge mechanism on top of the handle that slides over a latch which is attached to the outer edge of the steel door frame. The house was built in 1950.
The new handle and lock can be a new design….
The tricky part is that the latch, which is located on the outside of steel frame, has a short width of about one inch.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Based on your existing handle set, it appears to use the 90-071 window lock. We have a few options for you to consider, though none are an exact match.

Take a look at the 82-013 handle set, which features 3" hole centers. You might be able to pair this handle set with the 89-041 keeper.

Another option is the surface-mounted 82-005 handle set, which comes with its own keeper. Please note that with the 82-005, you'll need to drill new mounting holes for installation.
