Double coil and shoe?

Hi,
I have to windows that will not stay up. The coil springs are broken on both sides and I'm looking for replacements. One shoe is also broken, but I'd prefer to replace them all. I can't see any stamps on the coils, but the window sash weighs 23 lbs. These are builder grade windows. Thanks.

Hey there,

Your balance shoe appears to be an exact match for the 15-180 Coil Balance Shoe. I'm confident this should be what you need, but take a look over the dimensions and compare them to be sure.

The Series 190 Coil Balances will replace the coil springs. Since the sash weighs 23lbs, you'll need the S190-640 to replace them. Two of these on each side of the window will support 24lbs. They are secured to the shoe using the 33-073 screw.

You'll need the 15-181 Double Support Detent Clip and 15-182 Balance Bushings to secure the coils springs in the window jamb.
