Double hung window

Old house has had installed aluminum framed double hung windows. Windows do not stay up without support. Not sure what this piece does as it's stuck part way up on the opposite side. I can take additional pictures b

Hello,
I can't be sure with the hardware still installed but the S775 channel balance comes to mind based on your bottom fitting. Take a look at the specifications below and our installation guide to confirm if these are the balances you need. Thank you!
