Double hung windows

Question

I found the metal tabs that protrude from the sides of the windows are rusted away. I need the metal tabs to replace them and the blocks that they go into in the window frame.

Thanks for posting. I am confident we can help with both items, but we'll need more information. For the pivot bar, its shape tells me it could be something like our 26-040, but removing it to compare would be best. The first video below shows how to remove rusted pivot bars. For the pivot shoe that the bar fits into, we'll need you to remove one and tell us its exact width and thickness. Those dimensions determine proper pivot bar replacements. The second video below demonstrates how to remove these shoes. From there we'll do our best to aid you.
