Hello! That balance is not the S140-8. This assembly operates differently than yours and I don't believe it will be functional in the window.

Instead, please look at our 15-086 pivot carrier and Series 180 spring, along with the related products you can see on their respective store pages. These should be a better option for your window.

The 15-086 carrier and related items shown on our product page would be our best match to the coil balance assembly shown in your photos. Unfortunately, the S161 would not be compatible. Thanks for posting.
