I did want to make you aware that the wingless top and bottom shoes are no longer available for these balances. The replacements will have wings but we can confirm that the balances will still work.

There are what I believe are retainer clips (they probably have a different name), small metal tabs, that fit into the aluminum jamb. I think they hold the top of the balances down. Do new clips come with the balances or do I need to order them separately?

Sure! I'm happy to help. I believe the pieces you are referring to are the take out clips. Take a look at our 16-002 Take Out Clip to see if this is what you are searching for. They are sold separately from the balances.
