Finding Right Locking Channel Shoes

Quick Learner from Rhode Island

Having a heck of a time trying to find the right locking channel shoes. The ones I ordered, the locking pivot " receiving hole" is too small. The shoes that came with the windows have a 11/16 receiving hole diameter. The rectangular slot is 3/8 x 1/4 in. This is for double hung tilt out vinyl windows about 20 years old. As you can imagine, the plastic parts are wearing out. The balance springs are ok.

No brand name on the windows. By the way, I called the person that installed them a year ago, never had the courtesy to call me back, never mind show up. So I decided to do it myself .

The dimensions on the pivot shoe are-- height 1 7/8" x 1 1/4" wide x 1/2 deep. The locking part of the shoe is 11/16" wide and the "slot" is 3/8" x 1/4".

Hi- thanks for reaching out to us!

Start by looking at our 15-046. Given the dimensions you provided this is the closest match. The only question I have is in reference to the little nub that is located at the top of the cam opening. That does play a role in the functionality of your pivot shoe, but I can't tell from your photo if your pivot shoe had this little nub. If you send us a photo of your pivot bar we could confirm this information.
