Handle for Casement Window

A home owner from Secaucus, NJ says:

This is the handle for a 31 1/2 x 38 1/4 casement window. It was bought at Home Depot about 17 years ago. I have attached a picture of the sticker from the window as well as pictures of the handle itself and with a tape measure by it.

I went to Home Depot to get a replacement handle but the metal part was too short.

Thanks for posting. Your handle appears to be in good condition, it looks like the operator itself is broken. Can you confirm? 

If so, we will not be able to supply an exact match. Your operator hasn't been made in many years and no exact replacement exists to our knowledge. Your best bet would be something like our 39-013, but this would necessitate altering the sill to accept the new style base. Even after that, I cannot guarantee that it will work. Look it over and let me know what you think.
