Handle Set Help

Good morning!
I bought this house and this door handle is not usable. If I lift the handle up , it locks, only problem is of someone push it down on the opposite side, it unlocks. So it's not safe to say.

Is it missing a piece or something ? Can I buy A replacement ?

It looks like your old handles have "Dorwal" printed on them, which implies these are used on Acorn brand doors. Unfortunately, Acorn has been out of business for a long time and we won't be able to supply this exact handle set for you.

The best thing we can offer would be our 82-005 surface mount handle set. I like these because they have their own self-contained mortise lock, meaning it doesn't have to interact with the door at all aside from just screwing on.

Speaking of that, the installation hole spacing on the 82-005 is 4-15/16". Thus, you likely will have to drill new holes for it, so keep that in mind.
