Thanks for writing in! The pieces you are seeing here are an installation bracket (left) and a keeper (right). The bracket is used in instances where the keeper needs to mount to the frame at an angle. If yours does not, you can safely discard the bracket. 

In that same regard, if you already have a keeper installed to the frame, compatible with your handle set, you can discard the keeper as well. Although, it might be good to keep on hand in the event that you do need to replace the keeper at another time.
