Help!

Question

I have an American Craftsman sliding patio door and I am ordering 82-265 multi-point mortise lock and 82-249 keeper. Will 82-002WKP operate the 82-265 mortise lock, or is it a separate flush-mount latch system? What white keyed handle set is compatible with 82-265 and has 6 5/8 inch installation hole centers? Let me know if you need any additional info or photos? Thanks!

Thanks for writing in! The 82-002WKP would not be compatible with your door. This is a flush mount handle, whereas your door uses a surface mounted handle. That said, I believe you'll need either the 82-030A (centered lever) or the 82-030B (offset lever) to replace what you have.

Another option for doors with offset levers is the 82-086 Legacy Keyed Handle Set.

Carefully look over their specifications on the website to determine which of these is the best option for the door.
