Help, will the 38-144 work?

A home owner from USA says:
I just sent pics of my hardware. Closer latch is similar to your 38-144 but yours only has 2 screws

Tom from SWISCO responded:

This lock is an older version of our 38-097 and 38-098. Your specific model has not been made in many years but the newer parts work just as well, regardless of screw hole count. The only catch is that you will need to also replace the old keeper with the newer 38-079.

The 38-144 is not compatible and I would not recommend it.

A home owner from USA says:
Ok I see the correct latch but what crank asy do I use to close the window?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

That could be any number of different products. I would have to see the original out of the window in order to verify.
