Help with broken parts of tilt windows

Hope all is well! Could you please help me identify the replacement for the accessory? Please see attached three photos. Thank you.

Hello! This appears to be a cover for a 3/8" thick coil spring. If I'm right, then my recommendation would be the 15-204.

However, you should make extra sure to measure your spring size to be sure. The 15-204 will not work for springs larger than 3/8".

Hi Tom! Thank you so much for your help! My coil width (not sure if it is the same as thickness) is exactly 3/8" so looks like I am good. One more question before I place an order: the two ends of my original support (see pictures sent earlier) appears to be both curved, but 15-204 seems to be curved one end but not the other?

Great! I think this is our best choice, then.

I'm not concerned about both ends being curved. That kind of design feature is just manufacturer flair. It should still function totally fine as long as the coil size is the same.

Hello, I have a similar coil spring assembly that looks physically ok but the pivot shoe doesn't want to retract without a needed push or two from bottom. Just wondering if you had any thoughts on how to free that up or would it be beneficial to just replace the pivot shoe and coil spring assembly? If replacement is recommended, I can't seem to find this coil housing on your site.
Additional info if necessary. Coil housing 1.375" wide approx. Depth is .5". The channel width looks to be approx. 1.4375".

Hey, Rich. I wouldn't recommend replacing anything just yet. If the only issue with your pivot shoe is that it needs a little convincing then you should try lubrication first and see if that fixes your problem.

The first thing you want to do is remove the balance assembly and give the inside of the track a good wipe down, just to make sure there's no dust or debris getting in the way. Then you can use a silicone spray along where the shoe slides.

Try that out and see if it helps. I'd be happy to advise you further if you run into the same problem.
