Help with part ID

Question

Photos of the ends attached. I have three different length/weights but all have the same ends and channel width.

They are marked:
31-5 GS Caldwell
31-9 FS Caldwell
25-4 FS Caldwell

I believe they are series 385 length 32" and 26"

385 - 32" - 3150
385 - 32" - 3165
385 - 26" - 2540

Am I right?

What do the "FS" and "GS" markings mean?

Thanks for writing in. Yep, I think you're almost there. The only other possibility for a Series is our Series 380; this has a shoe depth of 1", whereas the Series 385 has a shoe that is 1-3/32" deep. Just double-check this measurement to be safe. Your stamp options all check out save for the one balance stamped 31-9. Stamps ending with 9 are from a rating system we no longer use. If you haven't already, weigh the window sash. You can then match that exact weight with one of the stamp options listed on the S385-32 or S380-32 product pages.
