Hole difference for 82-265 vs 82-239

Home Owner from Indiana
I tried to replace my latch with the 82-339 but the face plate holes dont match. Does the 82-265 holes different then the 82-239. ALL the deminions match the 265 but you dont show the deminions on the face plate holes. Pic is my old latch. What is the push button in the middle my old one doesn't have that. The door is only three years old.holes 3 1/8 center 3 1/2 inches from the ends.

I'm not sure that I understand your question. We show the hole spacing for the 82-265 on its store page, which is 11" center-to-center. You can see that in the image below.

Could it be you're talking about the rectangular holes where the hooks come out? If so, their position wouldn't really matter since you'd be replacing the entire mortise lock as well as the face plate. The location of your old hook holes wouldn't have anything to do with the location of those holes on our part.
The button on the face of our mortise is an anti-slam button. It prevents you from accidentally closing the door while the hooks are still engaged, which would cause damage to the door frame.
