How long do Screen Pulls usually last?

A home owner from Washington State says:

I have similar finger pulls currently installed on my screens (16 years) but many of them have become brittle and are now broken. What is the expected life of the 70-128 pulls? Is there a metallic option??

Thank you for posting! The sun always plays havoc on plastic parts, and 16 years is a long time. It's no surprise that yours are becoming brittle. The plastic used for window parts these days might be a little better, but you may want to consider some of our metal pulls. Please take a look at our 70-004 Pull Ring with Screen Groove and our 70-018 Aluminum Lift Handle.
