How do I go about removing the window from the rail. Looking to swap them with an uncracked window from another room in house.

Hello,

If you're trying to remove the sash from the friction show, you should be able to tilt the window toward you as shown in the photo and carefully twist one side at a time until the sash pins disengage from the friction shoes.
