Hurd Double Hung EZ Tilt Balances (Order # 3203342)

Question

Hi I purchased the wrong balances for my window and need to exchange for the correct part. The balances I purchased have shoes that are too wide and incorrect clip at top.
Please reply with how to proceed.

Hello,

I see that your balances use the 15-198 hook, which we can supply through a custom order. Since you already purchased our stock balances, you can check to see if the cutouts where your balance hooks install in the jamb liner are square. If so, you could follow the video below to use 26-200 screw plugs to install our stock balances as shown below.

We carry the smaller 15-194 T-lock shoes, but unfortunately, they are not available with the open cam used with your original balances. You would need to reuse the original shoes if possible and attach them to the new balances as shown below.

If you'd like to go the custom route to have the 15-198 clip attached to the S795-25 (25E) balances, just let us know the quantity you need, with the minimum being two. Keep in mind that you would still need to reuse your original T-lock shoes in either case since our balances come with the wider 15-195 shoe.
