I bought these but the new ones don't work.

Hello there. I see you purchased the Series 140 Coil Balance system. I am afraid this is actually an entirely different configuration to what you have and it is not compatible. See our Return Policy here. What you have is our 15-087 Balance Shoe, which uses Series 180 Coil Balances. Now, this particular coil balance system is modular, meaning you buy the specific components that have to be replaced rather than purchasing an entire assembly. If you have to replace any coil springs, you'll need to select a 'spring weight' for reach one--this weight designates the weight that each individual spring can support. There should be stamps on the coils that indicate this weight, but if there is none, or you're unsure, give me the exact weight of the window sash, and I'd be happy to work it out for you.
