replacement coil springs

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we would like to see the pivot shoe the coil springs anchor to. We'll also need to know the numbers stamped on your original coils. If they are missing or broken off, we'll need to know the weight of your window sash to determine the necessary strength options for your replacements. Thank you!
Thanks for getting back to us. We don't carry that particular coil balance setup. We do have a similar one in our Series 140, though. Note that you will also have to replace the pivot bar with something like our 26-398 or 26-405. Review the specifications below to see if this would fit in your window jamb.
The Pivot bar seems like 26-405 would work. The Series 140 looks like it would work. There is 1 coil.
So if I wanted to replace the mechanism in the window, I would need 2 Series 140 coil balances, and 2 pivot bars 26-405. Would that be it?
It looks like the balance stamp number is J87. Whatever that means.

Correct, one S140-08 coil balance on each side will support a sash between 15-16.99 lbs. The original balance stamps would not correspond to the new balances but the sash weight will determine the spring tension you need.
