I think I need new window balances...noit sure

Home Owner from Mars Hill, NC
Hello, and really grateful for this feature you have (even if it doesn't work for me!). Most of my windows sag badly. I tried tightening the a screw I saw in the shoe (I think it's called) but it didn't seem to help. I'm generally not too handy but I thought I'd look into this before I called someone...because I'm also not very rich. I have what I think are PlyGem Pro Series 300DH windows. The one screenshot I included is a now discontinued part that that turned up in a Google search. The other is a photo of one of my windows. The windows are large double hung: approx 38"x74".I'd be grateful for any info you might be able to provide.

Best,
Matt

Hi there Matt.

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm afraid we can only help with the friction shoe which resembles the 15-104. Unfortunately, we can't help with the spring balances. Is this a vinyl window? If so, you'll have to contact the original manufacturer of the window. If it's wood, contacting a local mill work would be your best bet. I am very sorry that we can't be of more help with this repair but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions.
