Identify window balance

Question

This is a 28" Channel Balance (plain channel). As best as I can tell it's the Series 795, but the shoe looks different on mine than your illustration, so I wanted to check.

The shoe has split and the metal clip it housed fell out. Since it is riveted into the channel, we are assuming that we will have to replace the entire balance. Since we aren't sure of the weight, we are thinking of getting two and replacing both.

But it comes back to trying to correctly identify this balance...

I agree, the Series 795 is our best match. You appear to have the smaller 15-194 shoe, which is only 1" wide. The shoe that comes with the Series 795 is 1-1/4" wide. Fortunately, these shoes just pop off, so if you buy the Series 795 you can easily swap out the standard shoe with the 15-194.
