In search of a keeper

Question

I purchased a 82-239 lock in April but had to send it back because it didn't fit.
I spoke to costumer service and they suggested I send images of the part in question hoping someone can help me match it for the right one.

NNOW what should I try.

Hello there. Sorry to hear the 82-239 didn't work out for you. Now, let's clarify. Are you saying that not only did the 82-239 not fit your door, but also you need a new keeper as well? This keeper looks a lot like our 82-249, but review the diagram below to confirm. The 82-249 does work with the 82-239, but it also works with the 82-265, which is similar in shape to the 82-239 but comes with a larger face plate. I see you also just recently purchased the 82-265. The best thing to do would be to compare the dimensions of the 82-265 with your old lock, to see if it matches up. If in doubt, please send us pictures of the old mortise lock and we can confirm it as well.
