Inside nob lock doesn't work

A quick learner from Warrenville IL says:

Turning the inside nob -lock- doesn't move the 2 locks on the Aside patio door. They don't seem to locked but the nob to lock the door doesn't work.

The length of the lock is 12.1/2" metal to metal. Any help is appreciated.
