Installation Guide

A contractor from Alaska says:
Is there an installation guide for these operators? I installed one on a customer's window and it works but I have another to install and would like to verify that I installed it correctly. Since this is a different system than the original lever operator. I am mostly concerned about the three clips that attach to the sash and their respective orientation. Thanks

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

I'm not sure what type of awning window you are going to install the 39-389 on, but in general you want to remove the wood sill cover at the bottom of the window frame to access the existing hardware. My thought would be to lay the operator onto the sill and attach the sash brackets to the window. Make sure the window sash is in the closed position then install the center screw in the operator to the sill. Take your time and carefully open and close the window to make sure the operator is in the correct location. If the window operates correctly, install the remaining screws and adapt the sill cover to the new operator. This may require cutting it to shape.
