Instructions on how to remove my window

Handy Person from Oklahoma
Hi, I have some single hung windows in a house I just bought that have the following numbers on the tag: DH-R30 MST 4080 Series 300/700/2300/2700. I don't see any removal clips like my old windows had. Is there a way to remove the moveable and the fixed sashes? Thanks.

Hello,

Unfortunately, we are not familiar with the code numbers you provided. If you could send over photos showing the type of window you purchased, we can go from there. Thank you.

They're single hung but don't have any of the clips in the frame like my old ones. I bought the house in October but am assuming the windows are original, so they're circa 1998. When I google the model number in my earlier message, it brought up SWISCO. Thanks.

It looks like you have the non-tilt (3/8") S400 or (5/8") S500 spiral balances in your window. In some cases, you need to remove the top stop and balances to take out the window sash. I would start by taking the pressure off of the balance by disconnecting the spiral at the bottom of the window sash using the 75-005 charging tool. With the tension taken off of the spiral, you should be able to remove the top sash stop and balance without much trouble. With the balances removed, you'll need to carefully push the window sash to one side of the track to remove it from the main frame of the window. Take a look at the related guides to assist with your repair.
