Integral screen retaining clip

A home owner from New Milford, CT says:
I have 23 window screens that need to have the latches (4 each) replaced, the plastic having failed due to exposure. They are built-in to the frame (probably pop-riveted). I need to extract the old ones and replace them. Some hints on how to extract them, and what parts you would suggest to replace them would be greatly appreciated.
Your site is great, by the way. Very well thought out and user friendly.
Thank you.

Looks like you have an older style Silverline window screen which has been discontinued. The plastic turn clip was our 70-211, which comes in two pieces that snap together. To remove the broken clip, place a thin putty knife under the thumb turn an wedge it off the bottom locking tongue.
A distributor from grover beach ca, says:

good afternoon, i am looking for thumb turns widow screen retainers.do can you help me find?
