Internal lock for patio door 82-218

A home owner from Houston Texas says:
Latch does not respond properly to handle. When I removed the lock a small spring fell out of which one of the hooks at end of spring is broken. Measurements etc make me believe part 82-218 is the right replacement. Is there a spring mechanism in that lock ? I am assuming that I can just use the same white latch & that the reason the lock doesn't work is because the spring broke on the inside

Hi, Barbara. I think I can identify these parts. I believe the mortise lock is 82-218 and the turning lever is 82-106. Compare your part to the measurements on our site to see if it works as a replacement.
