Inverted block+ tackle balance end guide replacement for Window
20 7..... just 1 needed.
Hello!
Thanks for reaching out to us. We're happy to look into this. There should be an attachment of some kind that goes at the top of the balance though. Can you show us photos of that? It may still be installed in the window track so you might have to remove the window sash to get a good look at it.
Can you also weigh the window sash and tell us the precise weight? What is the length of the metal channel?
I will take a few more photos of the things needed and try to weigh the Window frame also.
Tomorrow I will try to remove it, take a Pic of it and weigh the Window frame also.
Great, I'll be here to help whenever you can get those details for us!
Thanks for getting back to us. It looks like you have a version of the S795 channel balance but a few things aren't quite adding up. First, your stamp code would normally indicate that the sash is on the heavier side but the weight you provide comes out to a little over 21 pounds, which is a bit strange based on your stamp. If you're sure that is the exact weight, you'll also need to confirm the length of the metal channel, which should be either 20" or 21" long.
You'll also need to purchase the 15-195B open-cam shoes separately to swap out the stock shoes that come with these balances as shown below.
Lastly, please confirm that your balance attaches to the window jamb with a screw through the clip at the end of the pulley cord. If it hooks into the jamb, we can still help but the balances would need to be custom ordered.
The length of the Metal channel is 21' .
In that case, take a look at the S795-21 channel balances. Based on your sash weight, you'll need 20D options to support a sash between 18-22 pounds. Note that they will come with 15-195 closed-cam shoes. You may be able to reattach your open-cam shoes to the new balances as long as they are still in good condition. As we mentioned, just make sure that your pulley clip attaches to the top of the jamb with a screw like our replacements.
I will like to order the S795-21, how can I do this??
