Is there a difference with a closed cam?

A quick learner from Barnegat NJ says:
Is there any problem if I buy the 36C channel ballencer with the closed cam shoe as my windows in house have the open cam. looking to buy 3 balancers now and probably lot more as these things keep breaking. Windows are 20 years old. Is there any benefit either way. A quick response is appreciated as I want to order ASAP.

Hello,

If you have the S795 balance assembly with an open cam t-lock shoe, I would recommend purchasing the 15-195B as well to replace the shoe that comes with these balances by following the video below. Thanks for posting.
