JW double patio slidind door handles withe a double latch, the handle locking latch broke off but als want to replace the handles since the paint has come off , almond colored

Can I just replace handles and use existing latched keepers hardware

Yes, but make sure the mortise lock isn't broken and what was the cause of the handle set's thumb lever breaking. To do this, try manually 'throwing' the mortise lock with a slotted screwdriver. If the hooks don't budge, then you do need a new mortise lock as well.
