I need to replace the entire handle including lock mechanism. I think it is 15 years old. Came with a vinyl door.

Hey there. For the mortise lock, see the 82-265 and 82-249 Keeper. For the handle set, please review the 82-090 or keyed 82-087. Let me know if you have further questions.

A few quick questions... is the keeper the part that is on the frame (non moving? Also, Is there an right and left option for the handle set? My door slides open to the right when viewed from inside. Or, does the 82-090 part allow for install upside down from the orientation shown on line?

Yes, the keeper is the strike plate on the door frame the mortise lock latches onto. The 82-090 and 82-087 are nonhanded and can work for either a left or right-handed door setup.
