Jeld Wen window parts

A quick learner from South Carolina says:

Bottom part that fits into balance for bottom right of window pane broke off when attempted to tilt window to wash. Photos show the left side with part intact. Home was built with the windows in 2005.

Also have three windows with balances that are not working so unable to raise & lower correctly. Strings just hang loose. Contractor looked at them and suggested we contact your company. He said they are square balances and should be purchased in pairs. If so we need 2 pairs 25 in length and 1 pair 35 in length.

We greatly appreciate your review of our needs. Do your parts come with instructions for replacement process??

Many thanks! Jane & John

Hello,

Take a look and compare the dimensions of your pivots to our 26-402.

We may be able to supply new balances as well but we would need to see an undamaged balance removed from the window, including any attachments or numbers stamped directly on the balance. Thank you!

A quick learner from South Carolina says:
Thank you for the product number for the pivot bar. The measurements match perfectly. Only one is broken but my hubby wants to order three just in case others age out on our windows.

For the balances. ....We checked the numbers on them and 2 windows read 25C the other window reads C35 NLX. We looked at parts and the photo matches with your channel balance for tilt windows Series 795.... except the bottom shoe is narrower than the 15-195 which is described as 1 1/4 in. Is it possible to order the channel balance with T-lock 15-194?

As mentioned there are 3 windows with one side each that is not working properly. Do we need to replace both channels in a window or just the one not working?

Thank you for your response? We are looking forward to opening windows safely for Spring! Sincerely, Jane Pinkerton

Casey from SWISCO responded:

If the only difference between the S795 and your balance is the width of the t-lock shoe, you can purchase the 15-194 shes separately and follow the video below to replace the larger 15-195 shoes that the balances come with.

Also, we do recommend replacing both balances at the same time so that there is not an uneven amount of tension on each side of the window sash.
