Kolbe double hung, tilt in window replacement parts

Handy Person from york, pa

WE have Kolbe double hung, tilt in windows throughout the house. Due to age (about 30 years)many of the window mechanisms break when the windows are tilted in. When this occurs the window will drop to its lowest position as nothing is holding it in place. Each broken peice had a white cord attached that aided in raising the window.

Are replacement parts available, what components shoud I purchase and do you have a video on their installation?

Thanks,

Bill

Hi there, Bill.

It's hard to say what you have here. It looks like you may have something like the 15-014 knife lock shoe but I can't be certain. This part is used with the Series 751 ribbed channel balance. I recommend you remove an undamaged version of your hardware to confirm the specifications align with ours.

Let us know if you notice any discrepancies and we can work from there.
