My windows were installed in the early 80's. I believe they were LUX brand.
The part shown has broken on 2 windows and I'm hoping I can get replacement parts.
Pivot Shoe and Coiled Balanced spring (#407 is etched on the coil spring). The spring cover I believe is 'wide' I don't see any other markings or identification.

Hello there!
This looks like the old-style CertainTeed shoe. We don't sell it but we have some options you could consider. The first is the 15-192 pivot shoe which uses the Series 170 and Series 171 springs. Just note you will have to grind down the "bumps" on the front of the face and you may need to reuse the old cam. Keep in mind that modified items cannot be returned for a refund.
The 15-259 pivot shoe is the other option. This part uses the S159 coil springs and we even have a handy tutorial explaining the replacement process. I recommend watching it in full as we go over additional parts needed like the 26-083 pivot bar.

I think I'll go with the 2nd option.
However, the stamp on my old coil is 407 How does that convert to a balance weight?

Good question! I'm afraid it doesn't so you would need to weigh the window sash on a scale and divide the weight by 2.

I have one last question in reference to the first option you mention.

why would I have to do this?
My problem is one of the old cams is broken so I wouldn't be able to use it

Your old pivot bar likely won't be compatible with our 15-192's cam which is why you'd have to reuse your old cam. If you're interested in going with the first option, we'd like to see a photo of the old pivot bar removed from the sash.
Otherwise, going with the 15-259 conversion may be the better option.
