Thanks for writing in. Ordinarily, I'd say yes, you could just replace the outside key lock with our 82-315; but I'd make sure that the mortise lock inside the door is not broken. To check this, remove the handle set and then try to manually 'flip' the handle set with a flathead screwdriver. If the lock fails to 'flip', then you will need to replace the mortise lock as well.
