Lock failure on sliding glass door

I need to replace the lock?the latch gets stuck in open and closed positions

Thanks for posting. Yes, it sounds like the mortise lock needs to be replaced. It looks like you have the 82-260, but compare to the diagrams below to ensure it matches what you have.

If your old handle set is intact there's no need to replace it or its respective parts. But if the thumb lever is damaged, see the 82-107. If you wanted an all-new handle set, either the 82-089 or keyed 82-086 should do the job.
