Lock latch broke

Quick Learner from West Hartford, CT

Hi,

The lock latch on my sliding glass door broke. I cannot not find a manufacturers name anywhere on the door. It looks very similar to the 82-034 but has 2 locking levers that go into the jamb. I attached a picture of what it looks like when it is working - last pic- there are 2 identical doors. Hopefully you can steer me in the right direction and my terms weren't too far off.

Thanks,

Bob

Hi Bob. If the rest of your handle set is undamaged, you should be able to replace your thumb lever with our 82-107 Sliding Door Latch Lever Kit. When you're referring to 'locking levers', I assume you mean the door's internal mortise lock, which is a separate item from the handle set. It looks like it might be our 82-265. It might be worth making sure this part isn't broken and the cause of your thumb lever breaking. To check this, remove the handle set from the door and try manually flipping the latches with a slotted screwdriver. If it fails to flip, then the mortise lock needs to be replaced too. See if the 82-265 matches up.
