Locked in my house

Question

I think I need a new handle set. Or maybe a new mortise lock.
My wife and I got locked inside our house recently when our door malfunctioned. The lock locked and the knob would not retract it.
So we don't use the lock and we're locking the door with a bamboo pole. What do you recommend?

Your handle set is similar to the 82-093. This measures 11-15/16" on the installation hole centers. As for the lock, the 82-265 comes to mind. We recommend you review the specifications for these parts to see if they match up with your old hardware.
