Looking for internal Tilt Latches for Thumb opening windows.

Home Owner from New York City

Hello,

I am looking for a pair (left and right) of internal Tilt latch pieces for a thumb operated window in black or brown color. I don't know the manufacture of my window.

The unlocking thumb latches are on the front frame of the window versus on top of the window itself like others have. The latches have broken off and the window cannot be locked in place.

Please advise if you sell this type of replacement tilt latches.

Thank you.

Regards,

Ted

Thanks for posting, Ted. I believe you have an old Air Master tilt window. That finger lever isn't available anymore, but you can use something like our 26-002 black lever. The internal parts would be our 26-016 spring, 26-017 retainer and 26-069 tilt latch. Let me know what you think. We also have a diagram that you may find helpful.

Hello Paul,

Here are some additional pictures of the internal latch that I managed to get out of the window.

They almost look the same as the diagram provided so I just wanted to check with you first to make sure I am ordering the correct parts. I need internal parts for both the right and left sides but does it matter which direction they are installed?

Thanks,
Ted

Thanks! See our 26-002 to start out. Compare the length of the locking legs to yours and let me know if they don't match up. Also look at our 26-161 top guide set.
