MI windows - coil balance keeps breaking

We have 1 window that we use constantly, even in the winter. The coil balance snaps on one side and then the other. The coil is stamped with 6AP and I've attached pictures of one of the other window balances that is still together.
I have been looking at your website and think I need the 6 lb coil balance. My question is, does the plastic housing come apart and your able to put the coil inside without it springing open? None of the plastic parts are broken and we can get the balances out with no problem.
