Question

Hello, I believe the window company is out of business. Do you have a universal window balance replacement?  The window weighs 16 pounds. thank you

Hello! You are correct, these rod-type balances are no longer made. Now, there's no universal replacement for any balance, unfortunately, but the good news is that we sell a modern configuration that you can still swap out for this. It just takes a bit of handy work.

The first thing you should do is measure the diameter of the spring to ensure it's 1/2". If it is, then you can use our Series 795 channel balance to repair your window. The video below will go into more detail.
