MW window balance

Window is about 21 or 22 lbs. height of bottom section of window is 30."
Need a replacement balance assembly (or two to avoid imbalance between sides of the window?). Window is about 18 years old, but otherwise in fine shape.

Thanks for posting. We don't make these old block & tackle style balances anymore; but we should be able to replace it with a more modern channel balance setup. To determine what you need though, could you show us pictures of your balance's bottom attachment? This confirms the type of balance you need. And yes, it would be best to replace both balances, especially since you will be converting to channel balances.

Thanks for getting back to me. OK, as I suspected, this is a specific type of a Block & Tackle rod balance, a Crossbow Balance. These are not made anymore, but we advise you replace them with the sturdier Series 795 Channel Balance. See the video below for details.
