Mating Keeper/strike for 82-265?

Question

I purchased a new 82-265 lock mechanism this week, but it doesn't engage properly on our existing door frame/strike plate/keeper. Do you sell the door frame/strike plate/keeper that matches the 82-265? If so, what is the model number and do you have it on your website?

Hello! Before you buy any new parts, I recommend that you adjust the hooks on the 82-265 first. You'll note a small slotted head adjustment screw at each end of the lock. By turning them, you will adjust the hooks to extend further or withdraw in, depending on what you need. Play around with that and see if you can get them to better align with your existing keeper.

If that still doesn't do the trick, then you can consider our 82-249. This keeper is explicitly designed to work with the 82-265 mortise lock, so it should fix your issue altogether.
