Metal tab on the tilt sash. The part that goes into the balancer show rectangular opening.

I have a 1996 Dutch manufactured home with Carefree windows. Single hung with the lower tilt in sash. The right side metal "tab" is broken so the sash can not engage in the balancer shoe. Therefore the sash will not stay open on its own dur to the left side balancer doing all the heavy lifting. Is there a replacement part or do I need a new sash?

Thanks

Welcome to the site. It's hard for me to visualize what you're describing here. Can you take and send some photos to help me out?

Sending two photos. One shows the metal "U" shaped piece I'm looking for and one shows the bottom corner of the window where the original "U" shaped piece is missing.I am in need of a replacement "U" shaped piece to set into the balancer shoe.

Most likely, you need the 26-040 pivot bar, which is popular with vinyl window manufacturers. Please compare the measurements of your part to what we offer.
