Milgard Window Balancer

Home Owner from 89052
Hello,
I need to replace the balancers on my Milgard windows. I removed the balancers and they measure 27" in length. The only markings on the balancer are "26 5 FU CMC 2". This is printed on the balancer and not stamped. I removed other balancers from another window and these were the only markings present. Would the 350 channel balance, part number S350-27, be an exact replacement? Please let me know as I need to order a total of 12 of these balancers. Thank you and Happy Holidays!

Hello, thank you for writing in. We would be happy to help you find replacement channel balances. The stamp that you indicate tells us the necessary spring strength, but we will still need to determine what series you have. In order to do this we will need to see clear images of the plastic fittings at either end of the channel. I would preferably like to see them from above with the open side of the channel, where the spring is revealed, facing up. Thanks!

Thank you, these are very helpful. However, I still need to see the plastic attachment at the other end. Can you show me that, from the same perspective? Many thanks!

Perfect! It looks like you could have either our S380-27 or S385-27 with the 2650 stamp option. The difference between the Series 380 and the Series 385 lies in the depth of the shoe. Take a look at the picture below for more detail. Once you have determined this dimension you should be able to select the appropriate balance.
