Milgard Window Replacement Cranks

Professional from Los Angeles

I'm looking for fold down replacement cranks for some Millard casement windows. We already tried the Prime Lind TH24086 Entrygard Nesting Cover and Crank and they didn't fit.

Please let me know if you have modern fold down replacements for these.

Thanks so much,

Kristen

Hello, Kristen. It looks like the worm gear stripped out. That corkscrew-looking part you see at the end of your handle isn't meant to come out of your operator. To make matters worse, these are machine-pressed at the factory and can't be repaired or replaced. You will need an all new operator entirely.

I can help, but I'll need to see a photo of yours out of the window so that I can see the whole mechanism. Please let me know if that will be possible.

Hey Tom:

Here is a photo of the entire mechanism. I took a few more as well if this one isn't good enough.

I can have a crew member remove the mechanism in its entirety if that's necessary.

Thanks so much,

Kristen

Thank you, Kristen, this is a huge help. Your operator you show here looks like it could be one of two different parts: either the 39-253RB or the 39-439B. These operators are identical save for one detail, which is the slider used at the end of the arm. Rather than try to explain it myself, I recommend that you watch the video below. It's a lot clearer than anything I could write and should tell you exactly what you need, as long as you're able to check the end of the arm.

We also sell the 39-452 operator cover separately.

One other thing to note is that the operator in this new photo you sent is different than the operator in the first photo you sent. If you needed that one, too, I will require a similar photo.

Thank you! I'm going to have go window to window and assess. There are only 6 of them so it shouldn't be too bad.

Thank you so much for your help!
