I am looking for the plate that the latch attaches to and holds the latch in place in the door. I have attached some photos and sketches. The latch works but is not supported firmly in place now, without the plate. I think the plate looks something like item B in the photo "Sample of part B" and would mate with the mounting holes in the latch and door. This home was recently purchased and the part was not to be found...
